Millefiori or "thousand flowers" in Italian, is a glass technique originally developed in Murano, Italy. The process involves fusing together many small glass canes, or murrine, into a pattern and then stretching and cutting the glass, similar to the process of pulling hard candy. The technique is meticulous and controlled, making for unique and intricate pieces that are both eye-catching and a nod to a deeply historical artisan practice.
