Hand sculpted in a small ceramic atelier just outside Florence, each dolphin candle holder is crafted entirely by hand using traditional multi step firing and glazing techniques passed down through generations of Tuscan ceramic artistry. Richly detailed and finished with a softly crackled glaze, subtle variations and irregularities are a reflection of the handmade process, making every piece entirely unique.

A longstanding motif throughout Italian Renaissance decorative arts, the stylized dolphin has appeared for centuries in the fountains, villas, and palazzos of Florence and coastal Italy as a symbol of vitality, abundance, and connection to the sea. Reminiscent of the grand sculptural ornamentation found throughout historic Italian interiors and gardens, these statement candle holders brings a sense of old world Italian glamour and theatricality to a space or table.
